Dojo: Councillor

What is Dojo: Councillor?

Dojo: Councillor is a dedicated cyber awareness and GDPR eLearning solution for elected members. Co-designed by DPOs and Information Governance Managers from eight local authorities in collaboration with BAFTA award winning film-makers Matobo, it has been developed to support Councillors securely and appropriately undertake their full portfolio of work

Councillors face a complex set of GDPR challenges, which change depending on whether they are working on behalf of the council, their constituents or political party. Added to this, they are key targets for cyber criminals, not only at election time, but as a potential way into the council – and wider government and partner systems.

Dojo: Councillor is unique in terms of offering Councillor focused content. It also builds on the success of Dojo: Cyber and aligns the key cyber security modules across both staff and members, offering councils a comprehensive, organisational approach to cyber security and GDPR training.

Dojo: Councillor is video based with supporting eLearning, sub-titles and can be viewed on any device independently or in a classroom setting. The full course takes under an hour and gives members clear, accessible guidance whilst also acting as a resource to refer back to when required.

A Dojo license provides your organisation with a SCORM compliant package, which can track and measure staff awareness more closely – all through your own Learning Management System. Included are the 14 video training modules and supporting eLearning. Alternatively, we can provide a fully hosted service for your staff.

Modules listed above are covered by the license and will be kept up-to-date in terms of cyber messages and relevant security protocols.
